Mẫu nakedbike trang bị động cơ 998 phân khối cùng hệ thống chống bó cứng phan. vẫn giữ nguyên thông số kỹ thuật so mẫu xe xe hiện hành của hãng. Bộ khung sườn đặc biệt giúp khối động cơ 4 xi-lanh thẳng hàng đặt chính giữa hướng về phía trước. 

Với vị trí này, không chỉ giúp chiếc nakedbike có tỷ lệ phân bổ trọng lượng hợp lý hơn mà còn giúp cải thiện vị trí ngồi của người lái.  

 Honda CB1000R tạo nên sự khác biệt về ngoại hình với cụm đèn pha phía trước mang phong cách độc đáo cụm đèn LED ban ngày tròn trịa, đặt phía dưới cụm đèn pha. Cụm đồng hồ LCD trung tâm thể hiện các thông số đồng hồ tốc độ, đồng hồ đo cây số (ODO), vòng tua máy, nhiệt độ nước làm mát, và đồng hồ tiêu thụ nhiên liệu.

Động cơ 998 phân khối, DOHC, hệ thống làm mát bằng dung dịch, với hệ thống điều khiển đánh lửa kỹ thuật số. Sức mạnh của động cơ được truyền tải đến bánh sau thông qua hộp số 6 cấp. Xe trang bị hệ thống phun nhiên liệu điện tử PGM-FI,người lái cảm nhận sức mạnh của Hornet sau mỗi cú vặn ga.

Xe sử dụng cặp thắng đĩa đường kính 310 mm trên bánh trước và đĩa đơn đường kính 256 mm đặt chính giữa bánh sau, các vị trí đĩa phanh bố trí cân đối, giúp giảm tốc khá an toàn. Bánh trước kích thước 120/70ZR17, bánh sau kích thước 180/55ZR17.
